They were wrong. Singing lessons in Cambridge for adults, children and complete beginners — and voice coaching for people who talk for a living.
Most people who come to me open with the same sentence. Usually it isn't true — someone said it once, and it stuck. Singing is a physical skill, and physical skills can be taught. We start with breathing, build technique without strain, and work on music you actually want to sing. No auditions. Nobody else in the room.

Voices change through repetition, not revelation. Students who commit to a block progress noticeably faster than those booking one lesson at a time.

You lecture, teach, present, preach or pitch. By Thursday your voice is tired; by Friday it is going. You have been told to project, but never shown how. Your voice is an instrument you were never taught to play.
Finding the pitch where your voice works without effort. Breath support, projection without strain, clarity, and pace that holds a room.

Polski przez śpiew i teatr. Piosenki, legendy i zabawa — po polsku. Andrzejki z wróżbami, Jasełka na Boże Narodzenie, występ dla Babci i Dziadka w styczniu. Soboty w Cambridge, grupy 5–8 i 9–12 lat.
Polish through song and theatre, for children from Polish families in Cambridge. Folk tales, carols and a performance every term — the language arrives attached to something children want to do anyway.
I have spent thirty years using my voice in front of people, in almost every format there is.
On stage, for fifteen years with Teatr Loch Camelot in Kraków, in opera with the Kraków Opera choir, and on a concert tour to China with the Wiener Männergesang-Verein. Live, hosting festivals and presenting the International Summer Jazz Academy. On television, presenting a cultural strand and filing reports for two years.
And in the classroom — teaching, and writing and directing school productions, where I learned to hear what is going wrong in someone else's voice and explain how to fix it.
I trained as a vocalist at the Kraków School of Jazz and Popular Music. In Cambridge I sing as cantor at Our Lady and the English Martyrs, and teach at the Polish schools in Cambridge and Newmarket.
I am a voice and delivery coach, not a clinician. If I think you need a doctor rather than a coach, I will tell you.
